The Totem FatCap by Kronk is 6-inches of vinyl symbolism, enshrining the evils of vanity, lust, and greed on the iconic FatCap platform. Here to serve as a symbolic reminder to avoid leading self-celebrating lives, this totem’s old natural tones have transformed into a new electric vinyl palette – purple, turquoise, orange and pink.

Chester Runcorn is Doktor A’s latest mustached misfit to be brought to vinyl form. The Port edition is now available at LIFT in-store and online and limited to 300 pieces produced. The quality of the sculpt and finish by Kuso Vinyl looks excellent.

Introducing Furry Felines Creatives, a character design studio run by Alvin and Cheri Ong. The fleece plushes are handmade by Cheri in their California studio and now available at LIFT. We also received a few copies of their storybook “Being Different is a Good Thing”, written by Alvin and illustrated by Cheri. Many more characters are in the works and we’re looking forward to seeing what’s next from the duo!

In Jason Limon’s post-apocalyptic Earth, humans have ravaged the planet, and plant life has found a way to make a drastic shift to survive. Atropa comes to fruition, and in abundance, consumes the planet. They commandeer the bodies of remaining people and animals, blending mammal and plant to create a new life form. Body becomes seed, leaves become wings, and memories live on flowering vines. Atropa is the new life form, and the only one that can survive.
The Atropa 8-inch Dunny goes on sales at 11 AM EST on Thursday, 4/26/11 in-store! There is a limit of 1 per customer. If any remain, they’ll be available for purchase by phone or through our online webstore starting at 11:30 AM.

We recently learned of some terrible news from the creators of Shawnimals, Shawn Smith & Jen Brody. Their dog Remmy was viciously attacked by 2 unleashed pitbulls and is now hospitalized with life-threatening wounds.  To help with the growing medical bills, a fund has been set up at ChipIn where you can pitch in a few dollars if you’d like.

Shawnimals was one of the very first designer toy lines we brought in to the old location and holds a special place in our hearts. We’ve enjoyed seeing the line expand and watched Ninjatown explode with the launch of a video game and Kidrobot series. Plus Shawn and Jen are really great people. So starting today, we’re donating 40% of all sales of Shawnimal branded merchandise to their fund (wee ninjas, moustachios, ninjatown, stickers, zipper pulls, etc).

Please give thoughts to Shawnimal for a speedy recovery!

Created by legendary “Life is Hell” cartoonist Matt Groening, THE SIMPSONS is celebrating its 500th episode in February 2012, and Kidrobot is honoring the father of primetime animation in the only way we know how: making him into a 6-inch vinyl toy! Complete with goatee and glasses, director’s jacket, and pad and pencil accessories, it is the first EVER Simpsons Matt Groening vinyl toy. Available in-store at noon today and online starting now!
